An Innocent Disguise

In doing the quest An Innocent Disguise, two things went through my mind.

First, Csilla Kovács, the young and perky priestess from Elwynn Forest, was loving the whole thing. The seventeen year old was finding the intrigue of the costume absolutely enthralling, was loving the magic used to get the disguise working, and was excited to use some of the good sneaking talents her old comrade Tadams Bade had once taught her. Mind you, she’s a bit rusty with the whole stealthy spiel and she still has a bad habit of humming her own theme song when she sneaks around, but what else can you expect of a teenager priestess?

Second, her father, György Kovács — a Third War veteran who returned to his beloved vineyard and seven children in Elwynn Forest after having had more than his fair share of magic — would not have approved.

What the man doesn’t know won’t hurt him. Like those piercings Csilla got while in Kalimdor. Or that time in Ironforge when her friends and the locals got her blasted enough to start singing — wearing only a towel. Or the time that she brazenly walked up to high priestess Tyrande Whisperwind at her seat in the Temple of the Moon and gave the startled kal’doei woman a big hug.1

It’s a good thing that Csilla’s darling pappy has three other dependable daughters!

  1. Csilla still has the Efflorescent Robes she acquired from that near-international incident.

Disguise quests are amusing. The box disguise in Shadowmoon Valley is a classic. I discovered the tree disguise one when I was levelling an alt on Azuremyst Isle.

I thought that the box disguise was especially awesome because I’m a huge fan of the Metal Gear series. I’ve played every one from the original 8-bit game and my first ever game review for the school newspaper in middle school was on that exact game.
