It’s a Conspiracy!

It must be! I refuse to believe otherwise.

Having received an interesting missive from Nozzy, a former House servant who had recently — unwillingly or not, I’ve not yet learned — returned to the fold, I expectantly went to the mailbox this evening to see what treasures awaited me. I carefully tucked away the gold from my recent Auction House ventures and tossed aside the reminders of Al’shar debts long since due1 and cautiously removed a rather light package. Glancing around warily2, I slid one slender finger gently inside and peeled back the flap to reveal the contents within.

And what did I find?

As if Tallaa’s antics were not enough, but now the damned orcling is doing it too! Does no one recognize the sanctity of the Arcane Arts? Or, if not that, the majesty of House Al’shar? Here we are, scrabbling to reclaim our former eminence within sin’dorei society and they play games. Games!

Still, the Light Feathers do have their uses and I shall have to have Nozzy compensated for his efforts and forward-thinking. However, if I find that my youngest sister is behind this mischief, there will be repercussions.

On A Heavier Note

Draccos, the good friend of mine that I mentioned in “Your Success in Molten Core Awaits” and who has replied frequently on this site, recently sent me a message telling me that his World of Warcraft account had been compromised and its status is rather uncertain at the moment. I’m collecting information to help him in his efforts to reclaim his account, but the damage has most likely already be done and I’m furious that this happened to a damned fine friend of mine.

It might sound odd given the fact that World of Warcraft players interact with strings of code, things that aren’t even tangible items, but the feelings of violation that result when an account is hacked are no less real. I’m genuinely heartbroken that this happened to him3 and am trying to do everything that I can to help him get things back together and then assess the damage.

I do know, however, that I’m buying him one of the Blizzard Authenticators once they become available again. I’d planned on throwing together a belated graduation package4, but now I have further incentive.

  1. My father’s legacy, the Nether take his soul!
  2. For even in our current reduced stature we do have enemies and few things attract enemies — much like the frothing, teeming sharks that I’ve heard lurk in ocean — quicker than the smell of freshly shed blood.
  3. Not to mention the blinding rage that is currently engulfing me.
  4. Draccos is starting college this fall.

*rolls around on the floor laughing so hard she cries* Dearest, sweet Piroska, I had nothing to do with this I assure you, however, do not let me forget to give Nozzy a great big hug. That is priceless. It is not that we don’t *serious voice* Reconize the sanctity of the arts, or *booming voice* the majesty of House Al’shar. It is that we love thee with such great passion.

*wipes the tears from her eyes and still chuckling leaves the room looking for Nozzy*

I almost hate to reply in common in your RP thread but … I am terrible at it and wanted to compliment you on yours, and your friend’s, (I assume it’s multiple people), imagination. I love reading it.

I am also disheartened to hear about your friend’s account, hopefully all will be well again soon.

Knurds last blog post..Weekend Wrap Up

I think my old forum post signature was something like: “The last time they tried to take my honor, I had to wipe blood off my boots”
Looks like I have to put my boots back on.
I HATE PEOPLE THAT GO THAT LOW

Nozzy see Mistress Piroska get magic tickle feathers Nozzy send. Nozzy happy Mistress can do many tickles now. Nozzy hurry to find more magic tickle feathers.

Tallaa: I’m glad that you find my reaction so amusing, sister dearest. Remind me to thank you personally when we next meet again.

Knurd: Comments are always welcome, irregardless if you want to join in the banter or leave feedback. House Al’shar is the brainchild of both Tallaa and I, with significant input from our guildmates and friends. We love feedback and enjoy seeing other people get involved.

Nozzy, in fact, managed to jump onto the House Al’shar bandwagon through this site, having taken the effort of rolling a character on Scarlet Crusade after reading some of the posts that I had made on the site. He’s since become something of a local celebrity among our Feathermooners and is an awesome guy; we’re glad that he took the initiative to join us!

Draccos is currently working with the fine folks of Blizzard to rectify that situation. He has access back to his account, but many of his items (and a few of his toons) have vanished. I’m also hoping that everything gets resolved or else I’ll have to apply some Righteous Fury of my own!

Draccos: Very slick, hon, and it made me chuckle aloud at work. Too bad veiled threats are more common of Piroska or I’d have to borrow that for my own use!

Nozzy: Yes, Nozzy, many tickles. <makes a small beleagured sigh>
